The MINOS Far Detector is also capable of detecting atmospheric neutrinos. It is the first massive underground detector to be magnetized, enabling atmospheric neutrinos and anti-neutrinos to be studied separately for the first time. This allows MINOS to perform direct tests of CPT conservation in the neutrino sector. Cambridge has taken a leading role in the atmospheric neutrino analysis effort in the MINOS Far Detector.
