Executive Summary: Modules with Major Faults
These are the modules which, ideally, would be replaced...- lmt19 z+3 Jap932 link1 harness has a dead VCSEL. This could be replaced by a modified module.
- lmt12 z+5 US129 can not be biased, due to 6microA at 20V.
- lmt45 z+2 Jap967 has very high offset/gain spread on chip S12. Known from reception testing.
- lmt40 z-5 US137 has very high offset/gain spread on chip S11. Known from reception testing.
The following modules have now been replaced:
- lmt56 Z+4 chip S3 was dead.
- lmt39 Z-3 Scand 179 lk0 had extremely high noise!
Known fibre breaks from harness testing:
The modules at the following locations have been modified to read out both sides of the modules through the working link. Here is the dead link is listed:- lmt08 z-2 link1
- lmt09 z+2 link0
- lmt17 z+5 link0
- lmt28 z+1 link0
- lmt30 z-5 link1
Newly found suspected dead PINs
The following modules have been tested using Select=1 redundant TTC.- lmt17 z-5 UK519 --> NOW IS OK.
- lmt23 z-5 Scan22 --> NOW IS OK.
- lmt33 z-5 US92 --> NOW IS OK.
The upper three, we suspect, was due to a power supply backplane error.
The one here really looks like a dead PIN / broken fiber.
- lmt44 z+1 Jap575 --> Confirmed dead!
Newly found suspected dead VCSELs
- lmt19 z+3 Jap932 link1
Channels that should be masked off before Cold Test
- lmt15 z+2 Jap955 channels 402 and 1427
Power Supply Funny
- lmt38 z+2 VCSEL should be 3V
- lmt3 z-5 should be in select=1 due to a PS backplane fault.
Known sense faults on the following that were fixed at PPB1.
- LMT40 z-1 VDD to VDDsense
- LMT51 z+6 VDD to VDDsense
Other features
Broken shunt shield: LMT25 z+3
Damanged shunt shield: LMT24 z+3
Funny case:
VCSEL current of LMT10 z-6 high = 7
Module Configuration file funnies
- lmt07 20220170200080.xml : name of module had mDaqLT at the end.
- lmt07 20220170200083.xml : name of module had mDaqLT at the end.
These two files above are from Japan Long Term testing -- at which test stand a longer delay was used. Using these two files here, in combination with a StrobeDelay defect, will result in a loss of calibration signal. Use instead the Oxford reception testing xml files which you can get off the web.
- lmt02 20220330200181.xml : name of module had an extra 2 at the beginning.
- lmt03 20220330200129.xml : downloading from the database gives a TestResult instead?

See Barrel6ColdTest for details...
- LMT15 Z-3 20220170200942 channels 286 and 287 had to be masked off to avoid data errors
- LMT32 Z-3 20220170200832 chip M0 has LGS cold?
