SctRodDaq Release 2.1 has one primary new feature over
SctRodDaqRelease2: it includes the new DSP code. This fixes a lot of problems with release 2.0. In particular, threshold scans (and therefore response curves, trim range tests etc) work fine now. Many of the more simple bugs from release 2.0 have been fixed.
Known Issues
- ROOTSYS may need to be added to the environment for correct pmg startup of config_server.
- Strobe Delay cut off at 32.
- The strobe delay and timewalk scans occasionally fail to work. We believe that this is probably an issue in the DSP code.
- The NMASK scan occasionally gives small errors, which are not reproducible. They manifest themselves as an apparent shift of one channel to the right in the histogram contents of one row. This appears to be a fault in the histogramming.
- The strobe delay scans (when they work!) do not have 100% occupancy overthe whole flattop region. It appears that entries in the histograms might be missing. The effect varies with chip. There are also entries in the zero occupancy region which appear to be a similar problem.
- The Archival Service is still that distributed with 2.01, rather than the improved version which was planned.
- sctConfIPC dosen't build ... this is a problem with online-00-19-01. Apply the patches!
