SBC booting and configuration

This page is for discussing matters pertaining to booting and configuring the Concurrent Technologies single-board computer used for the RCC.

Problem: tftp doesn't load the init file to the SBC

Solution: Under newer releases, tftp must run as "root". Previously it ran as "nobody". Edit the file /etc/init.d/tftp to chande "nobody" to "root".

Problem: Nothing happens after I download initrd.cct via tftp

Solution: Older versions of the CCT module (those below 1 GHz?) need the old version of initrd.cct instead of the one you make with mkinitrd. Copy an old one from another older machine.
