NoiseOccupancyTest

The purpose of this test is to measure the noise occupancy at different thresholds. A plot of log(noise occ) vs threshold^2 is produced, (which is a straight line at high threshold for gaussian nose). The occupancy at a nominal 1fC threshold is recorded.

Note: This currently uses a naive approach which sends a fixed number of triggers for each threshold level. This makes it extremely important to turn the HV on before running the test, otherwise it will take a very long time to run the first stage (900000 triggers).

Noise Numbers

It's in general rather difficult to get a good estimate of the noise from the noise occupancy scan, since the line we are trying to fit is not particularly straight.

This means that the value obtained is rather sensitive to the fit range and the statistics at each point, both of which are different in SctRodDaq compared to SCTDAQ.

On the other hand the noise from the ThreePointGainTest is much more robust against such problems, and can be trusted to a much greater extent.
